Agilent Technologies - Hewlett Packard 6890 Plus Gas Chromatograph with Flame Photometric Detector, System Includes:
The flame photometric detector (FPD) is a highly sensitive detector that provides selective measurements of sulfur and phosphorus compounds. Select sulfur and hydrogen phosphorous oxide species are reduced and excited in a hydrogen rich flame. A photomultiplier tube then measures the chemiluminescent emission from these functional groups. An optical filter can be changed to allow the photomultiplier to view light of 394 nm for sulfur measurement or 526 nm for phosphorus.
This gas chromatograph is set up for a specific type of operation though it can be custom configured with different detectors, inlets and sampling methods to meet a variety of specifications. Please feel free to contact us for more detailed application information including method development.
